August 14th 2009  ::  Neal Visits Military Bases To Perform For Troops

His visits started at the Quantico Marine Base in Washington, DC on July 22 and he will visit bases in Oklahoma and Texas. During each visit, Neal will perform songs from his new album as well as meet and sign CDs for the troops.

“I truly admire military and their sacrifices, not just to our country, but to their family and friends. To offer to lay down your life for others is noble. My CD is meant to be a tribute to America, to the gift it has given to me, and a tribute to the fighting men and women, which is what remaking “God Bless The USA” was all about,” comments Neal E. Boyd.

“Not a lot of citizens get to say thank you, and I am overwhelmed to get the honor to visit and perform for the troops. They chose to defend me and those I love, and I will celebrate that with all the power my voice will allow.”

I feel blessed to have heard this young man sing. He gives me chills thru my entire body, and I never liked opera until I heard him. God Bless America….

    Neal,
The power of your voice brings comfort to those who are blessed enough to hear it. Thanks to you sharing with them, the gift of your beautiful voice, I am certain that the troops find both comfort & strength to carry on with their attempts to bring peace to the world. By sharing your time & music with them, they can’t help knowing that their efforts are both appreciated & worth while. May God bless you, Neal, the same as you have blessed our troops & the rest of us whom are fortunate to have the opportunity to experience the the beauty of the music within your heart. Keep smiling & keep reaching for higher ground, knowing that you’re making such a difference in the world. :)

I remember the first tim I saw you on Americas Got Talent and I told my daughter and husband that you were going to win. My husband and about 2000 other tropps will be leaving to train in El Paso starting Sept 7th, we will only see him a few more times before he leaves overseas to Iraq. I hope the day comes when I can see you perform in person as when I hear you sing and see the passion in your voice I get tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat, you have a magnificent gift and I am honored to have hear you sing even if it was on TV. God Bless you and the men and women of the Military are sure to appreciate your voice. Sandra Hansen - Houston Texas

I’m very excited for you. I was just wondering what you had been doing after watching AMT last night, and was saying how cool it was that people were so responsive to opera style music, and then I though “I wonder how Neil Boyd is doing”.

You make me cry when you sing, but it’s a happy kind of cry, because it brings out emotions you don’t even know.

    Thanks Neil

Thank you Neal, for touring the military bases around the country, and for performing for the troops. I know someone who is currently serving in Iraq, and hope that there will come a time when you’ll be able to travel abroad to share your talent with the troops who are currently on active duty. Thank you again for your selfless act of sharing your talent with our U.S. troops and their families and friends. It’s much appreciated.
